Choosing the right towbar
There are 3 types standard towbar this has a flat tongue that’s removable by taking out 2 bolts & usually has a towing weight between 750 to 1600 kgs, medium tow hitch or heavy duty tow hitches with square draw bar the towing weight on these tow hitches can vary between 1200- 35000kgs depending on what model car/4wd or SUV you have, the type of towbar you need depends on your needs for towing & the weight you’re towing. ECU (electronic control unit) wiring looms stage 1 or 2 (most European cars) are a must with most newer cars and are done on our premises by our expert staff, most towbars can be fitted same day/24hrs if stock is available.
After the towbar installation the excess weight carried on trailer/boat/caravan can cause the car to sag in the rear end causing excessive tyre/suspension wear all of which can be advised on by our qualified personnel, electric brake controllers -remote (hidden) red arc, Primus IQ, & Voyager are all available for installation by our qualified staff, Anderson Plugs, power wires ECU wiring looms & plugs for reverse sensors available. Our towbar installation will not interfere with your new car warranty, all our towbars are Australian standards approved.
